Creating strong and memorable images is something I find incredibly satisfying. It's been a funny old life and I've had the opportunity to take my cameras to some interesting places over the years. I've taken portraits of musician Jean-Michelle Jarr in Paris, right through to documenting people recovering after the Haiti earthquake of 2010.
I've always loved photography since I studied it at school and was greatly inspired by photographers like Don McCullin and Sebastião Salgado. In 2010 I managed to meet Don McCullin after winning a photography award and getting my winning image published in the Independent Newspaper. McCullin is one of the greatest photojournalists and it was inspiring to talk with him.
